A man in Tennessee has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a woman to death.
According to a news release, James Wayne Roberts was arrested Tuesday and charged with the killing of his ex-lover, who was stabbed to death in his home last month.
Roberts is being held in the Cumberland County Jail without bond, and is due back in court in October.
Authorities said Roberts stabbed the woman in the neck after allegedly breaking into her apartment.
The victim was found dead in the living room of the home.
Authorities identified the victim as 36-year-old Lila Williams, who lived in the same apartment complex as Roberts.
Authorities said the victim was not Roberts’ ex-wife.
Police have not released the name of the victim.
A police officer shot and killed Williams in the parking lot of the Cumberlands County Courthouse in May.
